Useful to know

Also known as Zimmer's flatbill, this small tyrant flycatcher is best identified by the yellow edging on its wings and tail and its broad, flattened bill. It often joins mixed-species flocks in the forest understory and midstory, where it gleans insects from foliage. Voice is a key field mark: it gives a series of sharp, whistled notes that differ from similar flatbills.
