1. Use of the App

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the App or attempt to interfere with its operation.

2. Data and Privacy

All data processed by the App is stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit any personal information or scanned bird data to external servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

3. Scan Accuracy and Disclaimer

FeatherScan provides likely bird species predictions based on image analysis. Because lighting, angle, distance, or bird variations can affect results, we cannot guarantee accuracy or completeness.

The App is intended for educational and recreational use. It should not be solely relied upon for scientific, ecological, or professional decisions.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, and code within the App is the property of the developer and protected under applicable copyright laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages, misidentifications, or outcomes arising from the use or misuse of the App, including errors in bird recognition or species information.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

FeatherScan may offer premium features through in-app purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Payments are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
Manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via App Store or Google Play settings.
If a free trial is available, unused portions are forfeited upon purchase.
Apple and Google handle billing and refunds according to their policies.

7. Data Sharing for Purchases and Refunds

To process subscription refunds, we may share limited, non-personal consumption data with Apple or Google through our payment partner RevenueCat.

This may include the product purchased, the purchase date, whether premium features were accessed, and basic usage signals needed to verify refund eligibility.

By making in-app purchases, you consent to this limited sharing solely for refund evaluation, in accordance with App Store and Google Play policies.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
