Useful to know

This shy forest dove is most often detected by its soft, mournful coos rather than seen, as it walks quietly on the dim forest floor. When flushed, it bursts away with a loud whirr of wings and quickly ducks back into cover. By eating small fruits and seeds, it helps disperse plants across tropical forests.
