Atlantic Forest of eastern and southeastern Brazil

Typical Environment

Occurs along the Atlantic Forest belt and adjacent mosaics from eastern to southeastern Brazil, including urban and suburban areas. It inhabits evergreen and semi-deciduous forests, forest edges, secondary growth, and plantations. The species readily uses city parks, gardens, and tree-lined streets where fruiting trees are available. It roosts communally, often in palms or dense foliage, and tolerates human presence well.

Social Behavior
